French Bulldog Training Tips That Actually Work
French Bulldogs are clever and food-motivated, but they can lose interest when sessions are too long. Make training easy, upbeat and rewarding.
Start with three basics
Teach name response, sit and recall first. Practice in a quiet room before adding distractions.
Reward the exact moment
Mark the behavior immediately with a word such as “yes,” then give a small reward. Good timing helps your dog understand what earned the reward.
Prevent unwanted habits
Manage the environment. Put shoes away, use baby gates and provide safe chew toys instead of repeatedly correcting your dog.
Keep sessions short
Three to five minutes, several times a day, is often more effective than one long lesson.
